About the Ministry

Welcome to the

Open Door Ministry

The idea for the Open Door Ministry was conceived after my husband passed away in 2014. I was inspired by a song called With Every Act Of Love by Jason Gray.

Words in the song jumped out of the radio and spoke life into this Ministry. The lyrics say “God put a million, million doors in the world for His Love to walk thru, one of those doors is you.”

This Ministry, this Blog is an open door for God’s love to walk thru.

Our Mission and purpose is to answer His call to reach out to all those who are suffering and struggling and to those who have lost hope and need a hand or encouraging word. We are here to help anyone who needs encouragement yo take the next step in the journey that lies before them.

We are here for those who has been abused, broken and shamed; to remind them that they are not alone, that the God who whispered creation into existence knows them, loves them, hears their cry and will never leave them.

This Ministry is dedicated to being God’s hands, feet and voice wherever He calls us and to stand in the Gap between Heaven and God’s People.

Please pray for us as we serve our brothers and sisters in Christ thru this blog, local outreach programs and Missions throughout the world.

As Mission Coordinator at the Kirk Church of Dunedin, Florida, I have been blessed and privileged to partner with and serve people all over the world.

Check out the Mission Spotlight each month as I highlight Local Outreach Partners and Ministries in India, Nigeria, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Bolivia and Honduras.

In an attempt to reach out to those friends who speak Spanish, I have asked my dear friend, and Mission Team Partner, Giovana Obando, to join me here each month to share Scripture, encouraging words and music.

I hope you get to know and love her as I do. God called Giovana and her family all the way from Bolivia to be a part of my church, my life and this blog for a reason. I’m glad she answered His call and am excited to see what blessings God has in store for us.
