Part of a conversation is listening, so today I prayed and thanked God for all my many blessings and then waited to hear His side of the conversation.
I waited for the Whisper that I have mentioned before in my writing. I know some of you wonder if I’ve lost it when I talk about hearing God, but don’t you hear Him as well? I mean, why pray if you don’t expect Him to answer? Do you wait for an email or text from God or do you wait and hope to hear a voice inside your head? You hope for an answer.

I’ve been able to hear God’s voice, His Whisper, since I was a very young child. My Grandmother would tell me to be very still and to wait after I talked to Jesus, because He would whisper back. Granted, she would tell me this at nap time and I would usually fall asleep before I heard anything, but as I grew older I found her words to be true.
So today I asked God to teach me what He wanted me to learn today. As I read my Bible these words jumped off the page and into my heart:

John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Then in Ephesians 6:13-18
13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,
with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the LORD’s people.

Friends God is calling us to be prepared…always. We need to lift each other up in PRAYER. We need to focus on the Light (which is Christ Jesus) NOT on the Darkness in this world. His Word is reminding us to wear the Armor of God daily and to be a reflection of HIS Light in a dark world.
So Today:

I am thankful for God’s Word, His Armor, His Light in the Darkness and His Whisper that leads and protects us every day.

What are you Thankful for.
I’m sure God would love to hear from you and so would I.
Blessings, VICTORIA
