Today I am Thankful for FRIENDS past, present and future.
I’m thankful for all those that have had my back and stood by my side all these many years
especially the ones that texted and skyped with me during the covid 19 lockdowns.
I’m Thankful for those that made me feel that I am never alone during this difficult time…
the ones that feed me both physically and spiritually.
I’m Thankful for the friends that know when I just need to be held,
the ones that make me smile without saying a word when I’m with them,
the ones that crack me up when we hang out,
and the ones that like me even though we are sooo different.
I’m Thankful for the friends that I can just chill with while we watch our favorite TV shows or a good movie.
I’m especially Thankful for the ones that have been like a mother to me over the years and who took me under their wing in my darkest times.
I’m grateful for the friends that forgive me when I don’t deserve it,
and love me even when I’m not very loveable.
I’m thankful for the ones that listen to me ramble on and on, and do it with a smile,
or those who carry me on their shoulders when I can’t take another step on my own.
I’m thankful for the ones that laugh at my stupid jokes even when they aren’t funny
and who forgive me when I’ve done something unforgivable.
I’m grateful for the ones that cry with me when I’m sad,
and laugh with me…not at me… when I’m happy,
who truly listen when I just need to vent
and the ones who don’t make fun of me when I’ve had a bad hair day.
Thank you God for the ones that have let me lean on them over the years through all the muck and mire of my life
and for the ones who continue to hold my hand as I make my way through the mountains and valleys of my life.
Thank you to all of my friends, each and every one of you past and present and for all those friends God has waiting for me around the bend. May God bless you all as much as you have blessed me.
