A WHISPER from GOD: to the BROKEN HEARTED

FEBRUARY, 2021

The Lord is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

I was with you today as you were curled up in bed, covers over your head, trying to hide from the world and your pain.

I was there as you took two cups from the shelf and realized there was only YOU.

I was there catching your tears as you tried to act like everything was ok.

I saw your pain behind the Mona Lisa smile you wore when your friend asked how you were.

I saw you as you finished your third drink as you tried to wash away your sorrow.

I watched as you piled more and more food on your plate because you thought it would fill the emptiness.

I saw when you threw the chair across the room and smashed the dinner plate into pieces because you desperately needed to break something because of how broken you feel.

I heard you yelling and cursing when you just didn’t know any other way to let the pain out.

I heard you as you cried through the love song you used to share

and I was there as you lay across the gravesite crying out ‘WHY?’

I know you are afraid. I know you feel lost.

I know it feels like I’ve abandoned you when you needed me the most, but I am right here beside you, holding you, loving you. I have never left your side.

I SAW… I HEARD… I KNOW.

I know the pain you’re in. I hear your cries for HELP. I see the AGONY. I know the EMPTINESS you feel is overwhelming. My heart breaks for you.

Know that I am Here. You can lean on ME.

Know that You will not walk this path ALONE. I am with you.

Know that I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE.

I am the light in this dark time.

If you ask, My Grace will wrap around you like a warm blanket.

I have collected all your broken pieces and I am holding them close to my heart until you are ready to put them together again.

 I am here to bind your wounds. Psalm 147:13

Cast all your anxiety and burdens on ME, because I care about you. 1 Peter 5:7

I’m offering you MY PEACE. It’s not the kind of peace that the world offers. Don’t worry and don’t be afraid. John 14:27

Don’t lean on your own understanding. Don’t try to figure things out on your own. Trust me. Call out My Name and I Promise…I’ll be with you every step of the way.

DID YOU HEAR GOD’S WHISPER? He is closer than the air you breath and the next tear you cry.

Lean on HIM. Better yet, LET HIM CARRY YOU FOR AWHILE.
